National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit Acquisition & Compliance Services
We provide regulatory and compliance services for major and minor dischargers operating under the Clean Water Act’s NPDES Program. We provide NPDES services for utility and power generation facilities, treatment systems for groundwater remediation programs, and others. Our experience and technical skills and regulatory agency relationships provide a significant benefit for our clients for acquisition and compliance with these permits.
Waste Discharge Requirement (WDR) Order Acquisition & Compliance Services (California)
Our experience includes helping clients obtain WDR Orders for non-NPDES discharges, such as construction dewatering, pump test water disposal, discharges of waste to land under Chapter 15 of Title 23, and for low threat discharges. FCI staff have extensive experience in this arena, and have been involved in this program since 1992.
Industrial Discharge Permits
We manage and coordinate the acquisition of sanitary sewer permits for a variety of commercial facilities, including car washes, wash racks and other discharges. We also obtain discharge authorization for groundwater derived from construction activities and dewatering, and for one-time discharges for various projects and activities.
Groundwater Monitoring Programs
We manage the installation of groundwater monitoring wells, prepare groundwater assessments, Demonstration Reports, and manage quarterly groundwater monitoring programs. FCI staff experts include a California Professional Geologist and Certified Hydrogeologist. We also collect water samples from wells as part of our Site Investigation and Remediation Services, as well as sampling surface water and other media as needed.
