Craig R. Fletcher, FCI’s Principal, is a Steel Tank Institute (STI) SP001 Certified Inspector.  He is also an Instructor for STI, and is one of only three instructors in the US for training SP001 Certified Inspectors in this important industry standard.  STI’s SP001 “Standard for the Inspection of Aboveground Storage Tanks” is the most widely used inspection standard for shop fabricated abovegound storage tanks, and is an important component of EPA’s Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Program.  More information about the SP001 Inspection Standard can be obtained from the STI website at www.steeltank.com.

In addition to providing SP001 Certified External and Internal Inspections, Mr. Fletcher also provides training on SPCC Plans, Tank Inspections, and related compliance matters for a wide variety of clients and regulatory agencies.  In 2013, Mr. Fletcher was appointed by the California State Fire Marshal to California’s Aboveground Petroleum Storage Act (APSA) Advisory Committee.  In this capacity, he serves as a technical expert and provides support to the Committee on a number of regulatory subcommittees.
